Venezuela uses Siemens to help rebuild power grid

The report quoted the company's business manager in the country as saying that Siemens signed a contract to work for the gas and diesel power generation facilities serving Caracas and the infrastructure for the oil industry.

Siemens ( Siemens 6SL3120-1TE31-3AA3 MOTOR, B&R X20PS9400 Power Supply , Allen Bradley 1756-OB32 Digital Output Module ) has obtained a license issued by the US Treasury Department to cooperate with the state-owned Venezuelan oil company with these plants. This is a rare transaction between the international company and the Maduro government, which is being sanctioned by the United States.

Maintenance work may help to overcome periodic power outages and multi-year rationing and improve power supply in oil producing areas affected by power outages.
